Angie Kendall graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Child, Adult and Family Services and spent her early career in early childhood development with a focus on quality early learning, parent support and legislative advocacy. She is currently the Director of Development and Communications at the Child Abuse Council in the Quad Cities. She also manages primary child abuse and neglect prevention programs and is a founding co-leader of the Eastern Iowa – Western Illinois Trauma Informed Care Consortium. She has provided over 350 hours of training on ACES and Trauma Informed Care as well as many more related to child development, parenting and child abuse prevention. As part of The Consortium Angie led efforts to launch the now what? Campaign, a social media effort dedicated to child abuse prevention and strengthening families. Always on the lookout for creative resolutions to agency and community issues, and working with diligence and heart to connect people, projects, and ideas Angie is dedicated to advocating for young children and their families to strengthen our community and ensure children have the very best start.
