2018 Annual Family Support and Child Abuse Prevention Conference

Conversations about race are rarely easy, and necessarily touch on hard topics such as privilege, racial discrimination, and disparities. How do we begin courageous conversations about race in our communities so that citizens can come together to promote justice, understanding, and healing? Attendees will participate in icebreaker exercises, engage in courageous conversations exercises, and leave the workshop with a copy of the resource guide, “Toolkit for Courageous Conversations about Race”. In addition, participants will have increased confidence and commitment to engage in essential conversations about race and justice in America.
