This session will discuss an adaptation of the original Connections Matter training made specifically for the education sector. Participants will understand how ACEs affect the learning environment including poorer performance measures associated with children with ACEs. Additionally, participants will learn about the outcomes of recent trainings across Iowa coordinated by PCA Iowa, as well as discuss what current action steps and implementation plans are being put in place in schools throughout Iowa involving teachers, students, and families to create more compassionate and trauma-sensitive learning environments
