Using the Safe and Together model of care has been shown to increase protective capacities and decrease threats of maltreatment. Iowa has formed Connect and Protect regional teams which consist of several human services agencies coming together to create a shift in policy and practice. This break out session will identify the Safe and Together framework, progress that has been made, and what still needs to be accomplished to ensure a successful shift in policy
