Prior to 2006, there was no mention of human trafficking in Iowa code. Presented by three board members of the Iowa Network Against Human Trafficking and Slavery, this session will provide a history and review of important legislative moments over the past 11 years, including how the Network has achieved bipartisan support and advocacy from the Governor’s office, and a comparison of Iowa laws to other states. This session will also address the Network’s 2018 legislative agenda and year-to-date progress, and provide information on how to get involved
