What individual, organizational, and cultural barriers preclude fathers from engaging in infant and child care? This session will offer 40 suggestions home visitors can employ to increase and retain father involvement – including a review of male and female learning styles, the impact of language and attitude in establishing rapport, and unique parenting approaches that distinguish maternal vs paternal instincts.
